Sandy white beaches, turquoise waters and an abundance of sunshine draw tourists to St. Lucia year-round. Due to its proximity to the equator the area receives temperate weather throughout the year, but the best time to visit is generally during the dry season lasting from December through May. During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm with cool breezes wafting off the ocean and limited rainfall. Temperatures rise slightly from May through October with the increased humidity making it seem warmer. The Caribbean hurricane season lasts from June 1 through November 30, but luckily St. Lucia usually receives only minor damages, if any.
